PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OFFICES

The challenge of the brief was to design a new Provincial Government Office, located in the heart of Lubumbashi in the region of Katanga DRC. The new building had to be an iconic 21st-century structure that integrates the physical, visual and metaphysical relationship of the cities heritage with modern materials and technology - a new vision of Lubumbashi’s future.

The design intention and site strategy sensitively connects to the existing site constraints whilst incorporating all the facilities associated with a government office including; consultation rooms, canteen services; and a 300 seater conference theatre. This project is currently unbuilt. Our bid has been submitted to the Local Authority for consideration.
