LONGBRIDGE RENOVATION

The restoration of a grade II listed building originally built in 1650 in the centre of Shepton Mallet, Somerset. 3bd redesigned the internal layout significantly improving the space efficiency and removing the unsympathetic 1990's partitions. The top floor ceilings were raised to rafter level to reveal the large original timber trusses. Fire places and timber beams previously covered over were revealed and the stone window surrounds repaired. 3bd designed and managed the project including negotiations with the local conservation officer, specialist contractors and suppliers.
